This call aims to strengthen the EU manufacturing industry by enhancing capabilities in producing strategic, high-value products for the net-zero sector and increasing clean technology production capacity across Member States and Associated Countries. It focuses on advanced discrete manufacturing processes and innovative technologies—such as additive manufacturing, advanced joining, forming, surface processing, and high-precision machining—that improve productivity, reduce waste, and shorten time-to-market while minimizing environmental impact. Proposals should target manufacturing technologies relevant to strategic net-zero technologies, integrate cutting-edge automation, digital twins, circular manufacturing, and standards, and include a solid business case and exploitation strategy to support the competitiveness and sustainability of European manufacturing.

Expected Outcome:

The European Union’s manufacturing industry should benefit from the following outcomes:

• Enhanced capabilities in the areas of strategic and high-value-added products for the net-zero industry; and
• Increased production capacity for clean technologies in the Member States and Associated Countries, diversifying supply sources, and ensuring high environmental standards.
• Contributions to reaching the targets set by the Net Zero Industry Act, in ensuring the reduction of strategic dependencies.
