Coordinated call with India on waste to renewable hydrogen – HORIZON-CL5-2025-02-D2-08
This call aims to develop innovative technologies for producing renewable hydrogen from biogenic wastes—such as agricultural, forestry, municipal, sewage sludge, and industrial wastewaters—using biochemical and thermochemical processes. The projects should improve resource efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact, lower production costs, and address hydrogen safety, while ensuring economic viability at scale. A key focus is on close EU-India collaboration, with coordinated projects sharing the same timeline, goals, and joint research activities, leveraging each region’s expertise and resources. Proposals must also evaluate feedstock availability, techno-economic feasibility, sustainability impacts, and proper exploitation of results, including intellectual property management.
