Deep Tech for Climate Adaptation

The EIC “Deep Tech for Climate Adaptation” Challenge supports start-ups and SMEs developing scalable deep-tech solutions that help Europe adapt to key climate risks: extreme heat, crop stress, water scarcity, and flooding.

The call targets innovative technologies—including nature-based and AI-enhanced solutions – within four priority areas:

  • Urban heat mitigation (reflective/temperature-responsive materials, advanced insulation, green roofs/façades).
  • Climate-smart agriculture (resilient crops, agroecology, microbial/biostimulant solutions, indoor food production tech).
  • Water scarcity solutions (wastewater reuse, advanced filtration, biotech and nature-based treatments).
  • Flood and coastal protection (resilient/green infrastructure, temporary structures, predictive and early-warning systems).

Supported companies will receive business acceleration services and connections to regions participating in the EU Mission on Adaptation to facilitate deployment. Applications are submitted via the EU Funding & Tenders portal.

Proposals will be batched for evaluation at 5pm Brussels time on the following dates:

  • 7/01/2026
  • 04/03/2026
  • 06/05/2026
  • 08/07/2026
  • 02/09/2026
  • 04/11/2026

Benyújtási határidő: 2026. 01. 07.
