Xecs annual Calls

Xecs is a Eureka Cluster programme that supports international collaborative R&D and innovation projects in the field of Electronic Components and Systems (ECS), with the aim of accelerating sustainable digital transformation. The programme is open to companies, SMEs, research organisations, universities, and other innovation stakeholders, fostering industry-driven consortia across the ECS value chain.

Projects can address any topic covered by the ECS Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (ECS-SRIA) and are expected to develop innovative technologies, products, processes, or services with clear market and societal impact. Funding is provided at the national level according to each participating country’s funding rules, while Xecs offers a common international framework for project development and evaluation.

The application process follows a two-stage procedure: applicants first submit a Project Outline, and successful consortia are then invited to prepare a Full Project Proposal. Proposals are assessed by technical experts and national funding authorities, with strong emphasis on technological innovation, industrial relevance, consortium quality, and expected economic impact.

Xecs launches annual calls and supports consortium building through matchmaking events, networking activities, and expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Typical projects are international, application-oriented, and involve partners from multiple Eureka countries.
