Stanisław Lem European Research Prize – 2026 Edition
The Stanisław Lem European Research Prize recognizes outstanding scientific or engineering achievements by young researchers whose innovative and interdisciplinary work has the potential to make a positive impact on the future of civilization.
The prize is open to researchers under 40 affiliated with an academic or research institution in Europe. For the 2026 edition, candidates must have been born in 1986 or later and must have achieved a significant discovery or accomplishment in 2023 or later.
Key evaluation criteria include research excellence and originality, scientific and technological innovation, interdisciplinarity, and potential impact on society and major global challenges.
Award: PLN 100,000 (approx. EUR 23,000)

Winner announced: 15 November 2026 in Wrocław

In addition to the financial award, the winner will be invited to Wrocław to present their work, meet young researchers, and receive the prize at an official ceremony.
