Funding frontier climate tech for children’s health

The UNICEF Innovation Fund call for applications (Climate and Health 2026) targets startups from emerging markets that develop open-source, frontier technology solutions addressing the impact of climate change on children’s health. It offers up to 100,000 USD in equity-free funding to early-stage teams with working prototypes—especially those using technologies like AI, machine learning, or blockchain—and encourages applications from women-led and young-founded ventures.

The programme focuses on scalable, child-centred innovations that improve climate resilience in areas such as risk mapping, early warning systems, healthcare preparedness, and community-level decision support. Selected startups become part of a broader investment initiative aimed at strengthening health, education, and basic services for children in climate-affected regions, with the application deadline set for 17 May 2026.
